Thrifty EMR Benchmark

Thrifty developers ensure that their EMR clusters use the latest generation of Amazon Elastic MapReduce instances instead of the previous generation of instances for better hardware performance, and also ensure that the clusters are not idle for more than 30 minutes.

Usage

Install the mod:

mkdir dashboards
cd dashboards
powerpipe mod init
powerpipe mod install github.com/turbot/steampipe-mod-aws-thrifty

Start the Powerpipe server:

steampipe service start
powerpipe server

Open http://localhost:9033 in your browser and select EMR Checks dashboard.

You could also snapshot and share results via Turbot Pipes:

powerpipe login
powerpipe benchmark run aws_thrifty.benchmark.emr --share
